After tinkering with it, I found the NoFurl works best when there is some slack in the flag and the tabling along the hoist is not tight. This allows the rotating collars to move more freely. When the lower collar is pushed down making the hoist tight against the pole, there is too much friction between the lower rotating sleeve and the lower collar and the NoFurl does not work. This should be explained in the instruction sheet.
Once the correct tension is found the NoFurl works like a champ, and the flag did not get tangled again.
